Kevin Hutt 10K

The Kevin Hutt 10K is a trail running event in Bloomfield, CT, hosted by the CT Trailmixers. The course is a rolling loop that uses mostly technical single track on the Metacomet Trail and the Orange and Yellow trails in Penwood State Park. The terrain is rocky but runnable and the event enforces a three hour cutoff.

There are no aid stations on course. Runners must carry enough hydration for 6.2 miles. Snacks are provided at the finish area. Proceeds from the event will go in part to NAMI National Association of Mental Illness.

The event honors Kevin Hutt, one of the founders of the Traprock Trail Race, who died in 2025. The race is organized by the CT Trailmixers, a nonprofit trail running club run entirely by volunteers. Registration opens July 1, 2026.

If the race reaches capacity a waitlist starts automatically. Waitlist selections follow the order in which people registered and selected entrants have two days to accept before the invitation is offered to the next person. Refund policy states a 50 percent refund for cancellations made before September 20 and no refunds after that date. No bib transfers and no deferrals are permitted.
