The Kevin Hutt 10k is a trail race scheduled for November 1, 2026 in Bloomfield, Connecticut at Penwood State Park. The course is a rolling loop of approximately 10 km that uses the Metacomet Trail together with the park's Orange and Yellow trails. Most of the route is technical single track with rocky sections, though it is described as runnable.
There is a three hour cutoff for the event. There will not be an aid station on course; participants must carry sufficient hydration to cover roughly 6.2 miles. Snacks will be provided at the finish.
The event is organized by the CT Trailmixers, a volunteer trail running club based in central Connecticut. The club operates as a non profit and reinvests proceeds into charitable causes. Proceeds from this event will go in part to NAMI, the National Association of Mental Illness.
Registration details note that registration opens on July 1, 2026. Once capacity is reached, a waitlist will open and entrants are selected from the waitlist in registration order; selected runners have two days to accept before the spot is offered to the next person. Cancellation before September 20 receives a 50 percent refund; there are no refunds after that date, and no bib transfers or deferrals.
