Jurassic Extinction / Jurassic Coast 100
The event is a series of long-distance trail races and challenges held along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. It takes place across the weekend of 20 to 21 June 2026 and follows the South West Coast Path. The route links named coastal points on the Dorset and East Devon coast and highlights the geological extent from Old Harry Rocks to Orcombe Point.
All courses require self navigation on the South West Coast Path and feature live GPS tracking. Time limits and minimum pace requirements apply to each distance and ITRA / UTMB index points are associated with the 50 km, 70 km, 100 km and 105 mile distances. Aid stations are supplied along the route and full participant information is provided in event handbooks.
Finishers receive wooden commemorative awards for the 33 km, 50 km, 70 km and 100 km distances and a special buckle for completing the 105 mile Jurassic Extinction. The event is managed professionally and provides race support as listed in participant materials. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 11 June 2026. Entry fees vary by distance.
