Jurassic Extinction / Jurassic Coast 100

The Jurassic Extinction / Jurassic Coast series is a set of multi-distance ultra events along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. The next scheduled event is 20 to 21 June 2026. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 11 June 2026. The event finishes at Exmouth Seafront.

Routes follow the South West Coast Path and are self navigated. Distances and start locations for 2026 include:

  • 105 miles Poole to Exmouth
  • 100 km Weymouth to Exmouth
  • 70 km Poole to Weymouth
  • 50 km Lyme Regis to Exmouth
  • 33 km Beer to Exmouth

Total height gain for each course is published by the organiser: 105 miles 5100 m, 100 km 2900 m, 70 km 2200 m, 50 km 1730 m and 33 km 1050 m. Time limits are set per distance and finishers receive event items specific to their distance, for example solid oak coasters for 33 km through 100 km finishers and a buckle for 105 mile finishers. The event uses live GPS tracking and several distances are linked to ITRA and UTMB index points, with specific points varying by distance. Trail runs nearby

A night trail event near South Brent with two courses, 9 miles across Dartmoor and 5 miles on local roads and paths. The route is marked but a route device is recommended, with catering, live music and a shared sauna after the run.

Multi-distance trail event in Dalwood, Axminster on 15 February 2026 with 10 mile, 5 km and 3 km routes across muddy, hilly countryside. Village Hall is race HQ with parking, toilets and on-site medical support.

A fully supported winter challenge across Dartmoor offering 50 km and 30 km routes from south to north. The route crosses remote open moor with unmarked sections and on-course guides, maps and GPX support are provided.

Pair up for a winter challenge across Dartmoor's Eastern Tors, starting from the Rugglestone Inn in Widecombe. This demanding 11 miles route with 830 meters of climb needs teams, required kit and pre entry for a small, limited field.
