Event Overview
The Jurassic Coast 100 is a long-distance running and walking event held along the South West Coast Path. The route explores a World Heritage site that spans from Poole to Exmouth, covering approximately 185 million years of geological history. Participants navigate the coastline using the existing trail network, with live GPS tracking provided for all distances.
Course Distances and Navigation
The event offers several distance options, each following the coastline toward the finish line in Exmouth or Weymouth:
- 105 miles: South Haven Point (Poole) to Exmouth with 5100m height gain.
- 100 km: Nothe Fort (Weymouth) to Exmouth with 2900m height gain.

Participants are responsible for their own navigation by following the South West Coast Path. Most distances are open to both runners and walkers, provided they maintain the specified minimum pace for their chosen category.
Logistics and Support
The event includes well-stocked aid stations along the route. Finishers of the 105 mile distance receive a special buckle, while finishers of the other distances receive a solid oak coaster. Several distances are recognized as ITRA and UTMB Index races. Preparation opportunities are provided through organized reconnaissance days covering specific sections of the route between Weymouth and Beer.
