Jordan River Blitz Backyard

This event takes place along the paved Jordan River trail system in Utah, winding through the Wasatch Front for over 40 miles and connecting Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake. The course is a 4.167-mile loop. Runners start each new loop on the hour and must complete it within that hour to continue. The event uses a "Blitz" format, meaning each lap is timed and final placement is determined first by the total number of loops completed, and then by cumulative time for those who finish the same number of loops.

The race starts and finishes at East River Front Park. The park features amenities like a pavilion, playground, pickleball courts, and grassy areas. There is free and plentiful parking.

Runners can choose from three distances: a 4-hour event, an 8-hour event, and a 12-hour event, each with its own start time. Registration includes a finisher's medal for completing at least one loop, a technical shirt, and post-race food such as Great Harvest Bread or pizza. Live results are provided.

Volunteers receive a credit for future races. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at a local running store and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
