Skyline Scotland 100K

Skyline Scotland 100K is a mountain running event of approximately 106km with about 6,350m of ascent around Fort William and the Nevis Range. The route crosses multiple high ridges and plateaus and includes twelve Munros.

The course leads runners up forestry tracks and the Allt a' Mhuilinn path toward Ben Nevis summit, then follows the Càrn Mòr Dearg Arete, a section classified as a grade 1 scramble. The route continues over Aonach Mor, Aonach Beag and the Grey Corries, passes Stob Ban and Loch Treig, links through lower moorland to Kinlochleven aid station, traverses the Mamores ridge to Mullach nan Coirean and descends into Glen Nevis before finishing at Nevis Range. All routes are provisional and subject to final consultation.

The course is fully waymarked and marshalled with mountain safety teams in key locations. Participants must follow the marked route at all times; deviations may lead to disqualification. A secondary navigation system is recommended, for example map and compass, a phone with mapping software, a GPS watch or a handheld GPS. Runners are provided with a GPS tracker at registration which must remain attached.

Mandatory kit requirements apply, including a survival bag and additional items when exceptional weather kit is announced. There are multiple aid stations on the route and a 30 hour limit to complete the course. Finishers receive a finisher medal. The race is part of the UTMB index and is worth 5 ITRA points. Entries are organised by Ourea Events. Minimum age is 18 and entry fees range from £140 to £200. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
