Skyline Scotland 100K

Skyline Scotland 100K is a mountain running event designed in the spirit of Skyrunning, following technical terrain and exposed ridgelines around Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains. The route covers approximately 106km with 6,350m of ascent and includes 12 Munros. Key sections include the ascent of Ben Nevis, the grade 1 scramble on Càrn Mòr Dearg Arete, ridges over Aonach Mor, Aonach Beag and the Grey Corries, and runs across the Mamores and into Glen Nevis, finishing with forest trails at Nevis Range.

The course is fully waymarked and marshalled. Participants must follow the established path at all times; cutting corners or deviating from the marked route may result in disqualification. The race operates a 30 hour completion limit. External assistance on course is not permitted under the event rules.

Navigation backup is required; acceptable secondary systems include map and compass, a charged mobile phone with mapping, a GPS watch or handheld GPS. A mandatory kit checklist applies and additional exceptional weather items may be required. Organisers provide GPS trackers attached at registration for safety and live tracking; trackers must not be removed.

Entries are restricted to those aged 18 or over. The event awards a winner’s trophy for 1st male and 1st female and Salomon cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers. The race contributes to the UTMB index and is worth 5 ITRA points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
