Ben Nevis Skyline

Ben Nevis Skyline is a mountain and trail race of 30 km held as part of Salomon Skyline Scotland during the weekend of 18 to 20 September 2026. The race takes place at the Nevis Range event arena near Fort William and is one of seven mountain and trail routes offered across the festival.

The Ben Nevis Skyline was selected as a 2025 Golden Trail World Series qualifier race. The wider Skyline Scotland event attracts over 2,000 participants and thousands of spectators and features a mix of skyrunning, ultra and trail disciplines with distances ranging from 5 km to 100 miles.

Event services available at Nevis Range include commentary and large screens, live streaming and online tracking, local food and drink traders, a partner expo, a grand prize giving ceremony and an evening party. These facilities support both competitors and spectators across the weekend format of the festival.

The description of the race emphasises its status within a multi-race mountain running festival rather than specific course details or start times. Information supplied identifies the race by distance, location and its role within the larger Skyline Scotland programme. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
