Ben Nevis Skyline

The Ben Nevis Skyline is a mountain trail race of 30K held as part of Salomon Skyline Scotland on the weekend of 18 to 20 September 2026. The race takes place at Nevis Range, near Fort William, as one of several events within the festival.

The festival features seven mountain and trail race routes, with distances at the event ranging from 5 km to 100 miles. The Ben Nevis Skyline was selected as a 2025 Golden Trail World Series qualifier race.

The event includes an event village at Nevis Range and attracts more than 2,000 participants alongside thousands of spectators. Onsite features listed for the weekend include live commentary and big screens, live streaming and online tracking, local food and drink traders, a partner expo, a grand prize giving ceremony and an evening party.

Salomon Skyline Scotland began in 2015, expanded over subsequent years and returned with a relaunch in 2025. The Ben Nevis Skyline sits within this series of skyrunning, ultra and trail races and is presented alongside other distances and race formats offered across the weekend.
