Salomon Skyline Scotland was first established in 2015. The multi-race event has featured in series such as the Skyrunning World Series and the Golden Trail World Series. The Ben Nevis Skyline was selected as a Golden Trail World Series qualifier race in 2025. The event weekend includes seven different race routes, with distances ranging from 5 km to 100 miles, covering skyrunning, ultra, and trail categories.

Activities over the weekend typically include a partner expo, local food and drink traders, commentary with big screens, live streaming and tracking online, a grand prize-giving ceremony, and an evening party.
