Ben Nevis Skyline is a 30K mountain and trail race included in the Salomon Skyline Scotland event programme. The races for Salomon Skyline Scotland take place over the weekend of 18 to 20 September 2026 at Nevis Range near Fort William. Ben Nevis Skyline was selected as a 2025 Golden Trail World Series qualifier race.

The wider Skyline Scotland event features seven mountain and trail race routes with distances across the festival ranging from 5 km to 100 miles, and offers skyrunning, ultra and trail disciplines. The event site at Nevis Range includes an event arena and a finish area used by multiple races.

Event services and on site features listed for the weekend include commentary and big screens, live streaming and online tracking, local food and drink traders, a partner expo, a grand prize giving ceremony and an evening party. The event routinely attracts more than 2,000 participants and thousands of spectators.

Information and participant feedback on the 2025 edition note organised logistics such as bib pick up, a central finish area for different race distances, course navigation materials, and on site catering. A 400 km, eight-day ultra-running expedition across north-west Scotland from Knoydart to Cape Wrath, running ancient paths, lochs and mountain terrain. A three-day Cape Wrath 100 covers the final stages with the same tented camp format.

Run the iconic West Highland Way, a 96 mile point to point ultra from Fort William to Milngavie across stunning Highland terrain. Choose the Ben Nevis variant to add a summit and extra miles for a tougher challenge.

Glen Lyon Ultra is a scenic 31 mile off road test in remote Perthshire with about 3500 ft of ascent and wet river crossings around Loch Lyon. Rugged trails and lochside camping make this a memorable challenge for adventurous trail runners.

A mountain hill race in the Western Mamores covering about 13 km and 1300 m of ascent over two Munro summits. The unmarked, clockwise route starts and finishes near Lower Falls and requires mandatory mountain safety kit.
