Salomon Skyline Scotland began in 2015 with the Glen Coe Skyline and moved to Kinlochleven in 2016, where it expanded to nine races. The event has attracted more than 2,000 participants from up to 50 countries each year and has produced economic impact for the Lochaber region. After a short break, the event relaunched in 2025 with a revised programme of races.
