INTO the WILD OC Trail Run

Into the Wild takes place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Black Star Canyon near Silverado, California. The start and finish are at the Baker Canyon Trail Head and Staging Area, with race day parking on Black Star Canyon Road adjacent to the trail head. The event includes check in and packet pickup and a post-race taco dinner.

The course is a 5k (3.3 miles) on a mix of fire roads and single track, with approximately 390 ft of elevation gain. There is one aid station located near mile 2 offering water and electrolyte. The event is cupless; participants are advised to bring a reusable cup or handheld hydration such as a HydraPak Speedcup.

A course map is provided using satellite view and a GPX file is available for download. Pre-running the course is not allowed except on designated wilderness access days or during docent-led activities; unauthorized access may jeopardize the ability to offer future events. Pets are not permitted on the land.
