INFERNO Winter - Where the Hell Freezes Over is a winter trail race on 21 February 2026. The event base is Edale Village Hall, S33 7ZA, in the Peak District. Entries open on 21 September 2025 and close on 13 February 2026. Entries so far: 2 participants. The event is organised by Tough Trails Ltd.

Course and navigation

The route starts in Edale and includes steep ascents and descents, mud, rock scrambles, high weeds and grass, sheep tracks and likely snow on the tops. Runners must be self-sufficient for around 8 miles between control points and able to navigate with or without a GPS device. A GPX file and a map with notes on tricky turns will be provided. Control points will offer food; tea and coffee will be available at the Barber Booth control. Hot pasta and soup will be provided at the finish.

  • 10k - 6.6 miles, 1500 ft ascent

All runners will carry trackers; this is reflected in the event fee. Entry categories include UKA member and non-member prices, with higher prices applying from 01/02/2026.
