INFERNO Winter - Where the Hell Freezes Over is a winter trail race on Saturday 21 February 2026 based at Edale Village Hall in the Peak District (S33 7ZA). The route includes steep ascents and descents, mud, rock scrambles, sheep tracks, high weeds and grass, and likely snow on the tops. Runners must be able to navigate with or without a GPS device; a GPX file and a map with notes for tricky turns will be provided. Participants will be self-sufficient for around 8 miles between control points. Trackers are required for all runners. Hot pasta and soup will be available at the finish, and tea and coffee will be provided at the Barber Booth control point. The event supports the local mountain rescue team and requests donations.
