Community support and logistics

The event provides annual scholarships in excess of $25,000 to student athletes and donates over $30,000 per year to local school running programs and to local charities that support youth athletics. Race proceeds support local organizations including the Track Teams of Telluride, Ouray and Silverton; Ouray and Telluride Search and Rescue; the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Team; and the Montrose Amateur Radio Club. The race requires over 200 volunteers, and volunteer positions have sold out in recent years. Imogene Pass Run is a permittee of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest.
