Hyak Halloween 25K : overview

The Hyak Halloween 25K is a trail run on October 25, 2025 at Snoqualmie Pass, WA, held on Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Lands. The event distance is 25K with 1,800 feet of elevation gain and the same elevation loss. Organizers co-direct the event with Tierra Libre Run and offer the First Strides Scholarship through a BIPOC Athlete Fund to support new BIPOC trail runners with entry, trail-ready gear, mentorship, pre-event gatherings, and on-course support. Race entry is listed at $145. Public finish results will not be posted; participants are timed for tracking and safety. The race waives the entry fee for members of the Snoqualmie Tribe.

Course, aid stations and logistics

The route begins and ends at the Hyak Trailhead on the Palouse to Cascades (P2C) Trail and includes two major trail types: the wide, mostly smooth gravel P2C Trail and the moderately steep, rooty/rocky single-track Annette Lake Trail. The course goes through the 2.25-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel twice and passes Annette Lake. There are two aid stations: Lake Aid Station at mile 7 (water and minimal food) and Trailhead Aid Station at mile 10.5 (full service). Course junctions are marked with yellow-and-black arrow signs and confidence ribbons. Cutoff points exist at the aid stations (mile 7 and mile 10.5) and at the finish; participants who do not meet cutoffs may be removed from the course. Parking at the start/finish requires a Washington Discover Pass; the Annette Lake Trailhead requires appropriate federal forest or interagency passes. Drop bags are allowed only at the Trailhead Aid Station. Costumes are allowed but must be culturally respectful and non-gory. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
