Hyak Halloween 25k
Snoqualmie Pass, United States • 25 Oct 2025
Event
The Hyak Halloween 25K is a trail run on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Snoqualmie Pass, WA, held on Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Lands. The course distance is 25K with about 1,800 feet of elevation gain and 1,800 feet of elevation loss. The event will not publish public results; participants are timed for tracking and safety and may request their times. The entry price is $145. The event is co-directed with a BIPOC-led nonprofit and includes the First Strides Scholarship to support BIPOC participants with entry, trail-ready gear, mentorship, pre-event gatherings, and on-course aid station support.
Course and logistics
The route combines the wide, flat, mostly smooth gravel Palouse to Cascades Trail and the moderately steep, rooty/rocky single-track Annette Lake Trail. The course goes through the 2.25-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel twice and reaches Annette Lake around mile 7. There are two aid stations: a minimal Lake Aid Station at mile 7 (water and limited food because supplies must be carried in) and a full Trailhead Aid Station at mile 10.5. Cutoffs apply at aid stations and the finish; participants who miss a cutoff will be transported off course. The start/finish parking at Hyak requires a Discover Pass. The Annette Lake Trailhead requires federal forest passes; the state Discover Pass is not valid there. The course will be marked with yellow and black arrows and pink/black checkered confidence ribbons approximately every 0.5 mile. Costumes that are culturally respectful and non-gory are encouraged.
