Hustle Up the Hill for the Homeless - 12th Annual
The event takes place on September 26, 2026, at Mt. Hoy in Blackwell Forest Preserve, Warrenville, IL. Participants run or walk up and down Mt. Hoy to see how many round trips they can complete in a 30 minute period.
Each round trip up and down Mt. Hoy is approximately 0.3 miles and involves a variable incline. Mt. Hoy rises 836 feet above sea level and offers a panoramic view of the western suburbs; the Chicago skyline may be visible when skies are clear. T-shirts and gourmet coffee are provided at the finish area.
Entry fees are stated as $30 per person, or $25 per person for teams of four or more. Race day registration is $35. Participants may compete individually or as part of a team.
All proceeds from the event will go to house a homeless family for two years as they transition to self-sufficiency in partnership with Bridge Communities. Bridge Communities provides free transitional housing to 131 families each year. During the two year program, families work on budgeting, saving, employment, debt reduction, nutrition and job search activities with weekly volunteer mentoring. The program aims for families to obtain stable affordable housing and financial self-sufficiency after two years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
