The Howland 5 Mile Trail Race, now in its 6th edition, will take place in Tunkhannock, PA, featuring both a 5-mile and a new 8-mile option for 2024. The 8-mile course includes flat trails along the Susquehanna River before merging with the original 5-mile route, which winds through shaded woods and hilly terrain. This self-supported race benefits the Friends of Vosburg Neck State Park and The Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen. Participants can also contribute to the local food pantry by bringing non-perishable items in exchange for a sticker. Awards will be given to the top finishers in various categories.
