Salt Springs Field, Forest and Falls Trail Races

The event takes place at Salt Springs Park in Montrose, PA. It offers three distances on technical trails through old-growth forest with varied scenery that includes wetlands, fields and streams.

All courses feature steep climbs, runnable single track sections and technical descents. The 5K is almost entirely on trail. The 10K includes a flat, faster section along the Wetlands trail while still incorporating steep climbs and technical downhills. The 50K is five loops of the 10K course, with more than 7,000 feet of elevation gain. For the 50K there is a fully stocked aid station at the start of each loop, roughly every 6.5 miles; runners must carry any additional fueling they need. No pacers are allowed, poles are permitted, and runners may leave personal items at the aid station area. The 50K has a strict final lap and finish cutoff.

All races will be chip timed. The event benefits the Friends of Salt Springs Park, a volunteer run organization that helps maintain and conserve the trails. The deadline to order a race shirt is Tuesday, August 11, 2026; limited sizes may be available for purchase on race day. The organizer operates a no refund policy but will allow deferrals if notified at least 30 days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
