Course Details
The event is located at 156 Jurista Dr S in Tunkhannock. The 25K course features approximately 4,700 feet of elevation gain, with four distinct ascents of Miller Mountain, each with over 1,000 feet of gain. The course begins with a short section on a dirt road. It passes through private property at Bennie's Nursery and Tree Farm and offers views of the Susquehanna River and the town of Tunkhannock. The route includes steep, rocky, and wet trail sections. There will be four aid stations on the course. The 5 mile course has approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain. It also starts on a dirt road before a climb up Miller Mountain, featuring steep sections and multiple vistas, followed by a descent on steep, rocky, and wet trails.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is tiered by date. For the 25K, fees are $60, $70, and $80 across three periods. For the 5 mile, fees are $40, $45, and $55. Registration closes on Wednesday, May 6. There are no refunds, deferrals, or bib swaps. Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 8 from 5-7 PM at the race start/finish area, and on race morning starting at 7 AM.
Post-Race and Awards
All participants receive a customized finisher gift, event swag, and a full post-race meal. Top male and female finishers in both the 25K and 5 mile distances receive a custom award. There are no age group awards.
Charity
Net profit from the event benefits two local charities: Countryside Conservancy and the Wyoming County United Way. A race-day basket raffle will generate additional donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
