The Sam Barlow High School Alumni Association organizes the Hit the Barlow Trail Run/Walk. This event takes place in Gresham, Oregon, at Sam Barlow High School. The gathering provides options for in-person participation on the school grounds as well as a virtual alternative for those who prefer to complete the distance remotely.

Participants can choose from several event categories:

  • 5K Run/Walk: A five-kilometer course for runners and walkers.
  • Kid's Dash: A 400m dash consisting of one lap around the Barlow track.
  • Virtual Run/Walk: A 5K option that can be completed off-site.

The 400m Kid's Dash is specifically reserved for children aged eight and under. Registration for the in-person events is available online in advance, and race-day registration is also offered on-site at the high school.
