Hill of a Race 2026

The 2026 Hill of a Race is the ninth edition and takes place at Ewing Park II, 1001 Ethel Pkwy, Bloomington, IL 61701, US. The event program combines a lap based Endurance Challenge with multiple obstacle course waves organized by category.

The Endurance Challenge is run as a lap based, timed format where the winner is determined by total laps completed. Endurance participants may bypass obstacle lines while running through the recreational waves. Separate competitive divisions are listed for men and women, including a Master's division for age 40 and older. Several recreational waves are scheduled to follow the competitive fields.

Registration for most events opens May 1, 2026 and closes August 13, 2026. An overflow recreational wave offers day of event registration. Entry fees vary by event type, with the Endurance Challenge and competitive divisions at higher tier fees and recreational waves at a lower fee level.

Distances and formats include:

  • 3 Miles for competitive and recreational obstacle course waves.
  • Endurance Challenge, lap based timed format with winner by total laps.

Details mention multiple recreational waves and distinct competitive categories; the Endurance Challenge has specific rules about skipping obstacle lines while running through recreational waves. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
