High Lodge 16k Guided Trail Run - November

This is a guided trail run of 16k at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk, on 15 November 2026. The session combines running with factual information about the local forest and practical tips on trail running.

Runs are led at a conversational pace and participants are placed into groups with runners of similar ability. Runners should be aware they may need to run more slowly than usual depending on the group.

The route uses miles of woodland trails and includes mostly flat terrain with a couple of small hills. Surfaces range from hard-packed tracks to single-track trails through woods. Trail shoes are recommended, though road shoes are acceptable if needed.

The event allows 2.5 hours for the run, with actual time dependent on the abilities of attendees. Parking is available at High Lodge and attendees will be charged £3 for parking. The entry cost for the event is £17.50. The event is organised by ESCAPE trails.

Participants are advised to bring at least 500 ml of water and any snacks they expect to need. The format includes opportunities to ask questions about trail technique and local features of the forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
