High Lodge 10K Guided Trail Run - November

This is a guided group trail run of 10 km at High Lodge in Thetford Forest. The runs are led at a conversational pace and are focused on enjoying the woodland scenery rather than racing. Participants are placed into groups based on a rough 5 km, 10 km or half marathon time provided during booking, but actual running is social and relaxed.

Terrain is varied, ranging from hard-packed trails to single-track paths through woods. The route is described as mostly flat with very few obstacles, and there is potential to spot local wildlife along the trails. Organisers allow up to two hours for the session, though actual duration will depend on group ability.

The event is presented by ESCAPE trails. Entry cost is £12.50. There is parking at High Lodge and attendees are charged £3 for parking.

Recommended kit includes trail shoes where possible, or road shoes if those are all that are available, a waterproof jacket, sun cream depending on weather, at least 500 ml of water, and any snacks the participant needs. The format includes an opportunity for questions and a relaxed finish with optional cool down and stretching. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
