High Lodge 10k Guided Trail Run September

This guided event offers a 10k trail run at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk. The run is led by ESCAPE trails and combines a guided group run with brief explanations about the local forest and practical tips on trail running. The route uses woodland trails and offers opportunities to observe wildlife.

Runs are led at a conversational pace and participants are placed in groups with others of similar ability. The terrain is mostly flat with a couple of small hills; leaders will give advice on how to tackle those hills. The session allows two hours for the activity, though the exact duration will depend on the abilities of people in each group.

The event is suitable for people who have been running on the road and are taking their first steps into trail running, and also for those who want a relaxed run to enjoy the trails. Trail shoes are recommended but road shoes are acceptable. Attendees should bring at least 500 ml of water and any snacks they expect to need.

There is plenty of parking at High Lodge and parking for attendees is charged at £3. The event entry cost is £12.50. The scheduled date is 20 September 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
