High Lodge 10K Guided Trail Run - January is a guided group trail run at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk (IP27 0AF). Details

The route distance is 10k. Runs are led at a conversational pace and are not a race. Participants are asked for a rough 5k, 10k or half-marathon time when registering so organisers can place them in groups with similar ability; the event pace will not necessarily match those submitted times.

The terrain is varied, including hard-packed trails and single-track trails through woods. The course is described as mostly flat with very few obstacles, and the event is classified as easy and aimed at people who have run on the road and are taking first steps into trail running.

Organisers allow two hours for the session, with the exact duration depending on the abilities of the group. Recommended kit includes trail shoes (road shoes are acceptable), a waterproof jacket, sun cream as needed, at least 500 ml of water and snacks. An optional cool-down and stretching period is provided after the guided run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
