High Lodge 10k Guided Trail Run

ESCAPE trails runs a guided 10k group trail run at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk. The route uses miles of woodland trails and mixes hard-packed paths with single-track trails through the woods, offering opportunities to see local wildlife. The terrain is mostly flat with few obstacles.

Runs are led at a conversational pace. Participants are placed into groups based on a rough 5k, 10k or half marathon time provided during entry, but the event is not a race and groups may move at a slower pace than some runners expect. The organiser allows two hours for the session to enable running and time for questions.

This event is described as suitable for people who have experience running on the road and who are taking their first steps into trail running. Trail shoes are recommended, though road shoes are acceptable. Attendees should bring a waterproof jacket and sun cream as required by the weather, at least 500 ml of water and any snacks they need.

There is parking at High Lodge and a parking charge of £4 for attendees. The event fee is listed as £12.50. The session includes registration, the guided run and an optional cool down and stretching period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
