Hell & Back Endure : 12 Hour Challenge

Hell & Back Endure is a 12-hour last-person-standing event at Killruddery Estate, Bray, Co. Wicklow. The format requires participants to complete repeated 5 km obstacle laps on natural forest trails and through signature obstacles. A conch sounds every hour to signal the start of the next lap; participants who are not back before the next conch are eliminated.

The course repeats the same 5 km lap each hour. There is no swimming on the course. The central Start/Finish arena sits at the heart of the site; personal aid stations, camping and car parking are positioned around this area, and each lap passes through the arena.

Personal aid station options are offered. Gold Circle placement (closest to the arena) is listed as sold out. A standard aid-station option is available at a short distance from the arena. Camping is optional the night before the event; pitches are sold per 5 m by 5 m space and the camping pitch also serves as the participant’s personal aid station on race day.

Event fees include parking for one vehicle and a mandatory €6 personal accident insurance fee. Additional vehicles may use an overflow car park for an extra fee. No timing chips are used. The event awards a finisher’s medal only to those still standing after the full 12 hours. Capacity for the event is limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
