HELL & BACK Adult 7KM

HELL & BACK Adult on Saturday 5 September 2026 takes place at Killruddery Estate in Bray, County Wicklow. The event is a 7KM obstacle course that moves through forests, bogs, rivers and hill slopes and passes lakes and mountain scenery near the Wicklow Mountains and Dublin Bay.

The 7KM route includes named man made and natural obstacles such as Heartbreak Ridge, Valley of Pain, Hell on Earth, Ice Baths, Splash Zone, Monkey Bars and Military Zone. Summer events include lake features like the Water Jump, Pontoon Mania and Splashdown Slide. New for September 2026 is the Land Slide, a multi lane slide with eight lanes side by side.

Participants start in timed waves of roughly 250 to 400 people and may choose a preferred wave when registering; the earliest wave may carry a small additional fee. Each course has a cut off time for safety and marshals may direct slower participants to a shortcut or assist them off course by buggy.

Adults must be over 16 to enter; 16 and 17 year olds require a parental or guardian consent form. Water obstacles require a buoyancy aid and lifeguards are present at lake areas; non swimmers may walk around obstacles but should not attempt large water features.

Entry fees for the 7KM event on 5 September 2026 are listed as €67 for individuals, €66 for teams of 4 to 20 and €65 for groups of 21 or more; prices include a mandatory personal accident insurance fee of €6 and a finisher t shirt. Car parking is available as an optional extra and spectator entry is free. Transfers to a replacement participant are allowed on event day by presenting the original ticket or QR code.
