Event Details
The start and finish for both events is at the park's pavilion near the corner of Eight Mile Road and Napier. The 5k course is an out-and-back route on the paved ITC trail. The Monster Mile is described as a shorter fun run. Runners, walkers, strollers, and wagons are allowed, but bicycles, skateboards, and rollerblades are not permitted.
Participants receive a race shirt, a finisher medal, a custom race bib, and post-race refreshments. Awards are given to the overall male and female winners in both the mile and 5k events. The race is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, and results are texted to participants upon finishing.
Onsite amenities include plenty of parking, restrooms, and a playground near the start/finish area. Packet pickup occurs on the morning of the event at the ITC Pavilion.
Pricing and Registration
Early registration is $30 until October 11, which guarantees a shirt. The price increases to $35 from October 12-24 (shirts available while supplies last) and is $40 on race day.
