The Harriers Gunner Shaw Cross Country Classic is organized by the Prairie Inn Harriers Running Club. The 41st edition is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Thetis Lake Regional Park, Victoria, BC, with start and finish near the main beach. The race is Event 2 of 3 in the Harriers Thetis Lake Fall Trail Series and is sanctioned by BC Athletics.

Course and logistics

The course is approximately 10 kilometres, entirely on trails with roots, rocks, stumps, branches, boulders and multiple puddles. The route includes six named hills and three named puddles and contains rough, hilly and mucky sections; a dry, warm change of clothes is recommended. Entry is limited to a maximum of 600 participants. Organizers request pre-registration online; day-of entries are accepted at the start line only if the entry limit has not been reached. Race package pickup takes place at the main beach on race day. Amenities at the start/finish area include washrooms, change rooms, picnic tables, portable toilets and space for team tents. Race proceeds are directed to the Harriers Foundation, which supports local projects, scholarships and bursaries. An informal after-race gathering is held nearby at the Six Mile Inn.
