The Harriers Gunner Shaw Cross Country Classic is the 41st annual edition scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Thetis Lake Park, Victoria BC (main beach at the end of Six Mile Road). The race distance is approximately 10 kilometres and the event is sanctioned by BC Athletics. A maximum of 600 entries will be accepted.

Course and race details

The course runs entirely on trails and includes multiple hills, rocky and rough sections, and wet parts. Course features include roots, rocks, stumps, puddles, branches and boulders, with six significant hills and three notable puddles identified along the route. Runners are advised to bring a dry, warm change of clothes.

Entry fees for 2025 were still to be set; the 2024 fee structure was $30 early, $40 regular and $50 late. Pre-registration is requested; day-of-race entries may be accepted at the start line only if the 600-entry limit has not been reached. Package pickup is held at Thetis Lake Park finish line on race day.

Age categories are Junior (under 20), Senior (20–39), Master (40–49), Veteran (50–59) and Super Veteran (60–69 and 70+). Awards and draw prizes are presented at the finish line after the last runner completes the course. Refreshments at recent events have included grilled pirogies, hot drinks, cookies and fruit.
