Event overview
This is a guided trail run that starts and finishes at Hankley Common in Elstead, Surrey. The route visits a reinforced concrete replica of a section of the Atlantic Wall, built in 1943 as a training aid, and passes through an active MOD training area. The location is noted for rare wildlife and has been used as a film and TV location, including James Bond films and an Avengers production.

Sunset editions take place in the lighter months and run at dusk with extended daylight and views. Night editions run in the darker months and use headtorches in a guided group environment.
Practical information
The organiser is Running Adventures, based in Guildford, Surrey. The meeting point is Hankley Common Lower Car Park, Elstead. The site is easily accessed by car, just off the A3, and a car park is available. The listed cost is £16 per person for the January and March 2026 dates shown.
The run is led by an experienced guide and is run as a group rather than a race. Participants should be able to sustain about 10 min/miles (6 min/km) on trail. A full kit list is provided before the run; Silva headtorches and Salomon trail shoes are available to trial.
