Halton River Dash

The Halton River Dash is a summer evening 5 mile running event on 27 May 2026 at Halton Mill, Lancaster (LA2 6ND). The route is a traffic free marked course that starts and finishes at Halton Mill and uses the river Millennium path to Caton.

The course includes a short out and back section with a return to the Crook of Lune, then leaves the riverside path to run on tarmac and through meadow sections before a technical single track segment. The single track section is not suitable for pushchairs or children. Local street parking is available near Halton Mill.

Entries are managed through SiEntries. Entries open 16 April 2026 and close 26 May 2026. The minimum age on race day is 16. Advance entry fees are £5 for runners affiliated with recognised bodies and £7 for unaffiliated runners. Entry on the day is listed at £8 for affiliated runners and £10 for unaffiliated runners. Affiliations recognised include the Association of Running Clubs, Trail Runners Association, Fell Runners Association, and UK Athletics, either by direct membership or via an affiliated club.

Tackle the Caw fell race in the Lake District on Wednesday 13 May 2026, 9.3 km with 550 m climb from Broughton Mills. Day of race entry, great views and a classic fell running challenge for all abilities.
