Halloween Horror 10k
The Halloween Horror 10k is a trail running event held in Conway Robinson State Forest. The race takes place on a looped forest trail course described as having some technical terrain and minor hills. The 10k distance consists of two laps of the 5k course.
Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. Awards are presented post-race for the top three men and women overall, and for the first and second place male and female finishers in various age categories. Points from this race count towards the organizer's 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, as well as a Fall series.
A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Walkers are welcome at the in-person event. There is no on-site race day registration. Packet pickup is available at the event.
The event supports the Dulles South Soup Kitchen, which provides hot meals in Loudoun County.
There are water stations along the course. Restroom facilities (portajohns) are not available on-site at the state forest, but a Sheetz convenience store is located near the start line. Overflow parking is available at the University Boulevard Park & Ride. The event proceeds rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
