The Griffith Park Trail Marathon Relay & 8K takes place on June 7, 2026, at Park Center / the Lower Old Zoo in Griffith Park, Los Angeles. The event includes a team marathon relay and an individual 8K race. It was named to Runner’s World magazine’s "10 Best Races You’ve Never Heard Of" list in 2024. Registration opens December 15, 2025.

Features and course
The relay is chip timed for official results. All participants receive a short sleeve men’s or women’s t-shirt and a finisher medal. The Open division offers $1,500 in cash prizes; recreational divisions award trophies or plaques to the top three teams. The event provides three aid stations with medical staff (two on course, one at the start/finish), food and refreshments at the start/finish area, multiple live DJs, and food trucks. Packet pickup includes a sale and raffle at Fleet Feet Burbank.
The course uses Griffith Park trails and fireroads with some pavement and includes climbing and downhill sections. Griffith Park is described as more than 4,300 acres and contains sites such as the Abandoned Los Angeles Zoo, the Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign.
