The Bulldog Ultra is a trail running event on August 15, 2026, held at Malibu Creek State Park in Calabasas, California. The event is organized by SoCalTrail and is presented as Southern California's oldest 50k, in its 34th year. Two distances are offered:
- 50k Ultra Trail (29.4 miles, approximately 5,511 ft of climbing)
- 25k Trail (14.8 miles, approximately 2,783 ft of climbing)
Both courses use single track and fire roads through the Santa Monica Mountains and include multiple fully stocked aid stations at defined mile points. The 50k course is structured as two loops with a stocked aid station and facilities at the start of the second loop; drop bags and pacers are acknowledged at that point. The organizer notes that temperatures in the canyons can be high and the climbs are steep and sustained.
Prizing and awards are provided for overall finishers and age groups, with a stated 50k prize purse and a course record bonus for the 25k. Finishers receive hand-made medals and event apparel is provided. Additional on-site features include race photography, post-race food, a 21 and over beer garden, certified sports massage, and same-day results with lap splits. All SoCalTrail races are cupless.
