Set along the scenic Greenbrier River Trail in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, the Greenbrier River Trail Marathon and its companion half-marathon offer a flat, fast, rail-trail experience. The 26.2-mile marathon is a point-to-point race starting at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park and finishing at Stillwell Park in Marlinton, with a gentle 1% downhill grade and a USATF-certified course. The 13.1-mile half-marathon is an out-and-back starting and finishing at Stillwell Park (not USATF-certified). Proceeds support maintenance and improvements to the Greenbrier River Trail through the Greenbrier River Trail Association. The event date is October 5, 2025, with registration open.
