Greek Peak Running Festival

The Greek Peak Running Festival is an inaugural trail running event held at Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland, New York. The festival combines trail races with family-oriented activities and uses the resort setting for post-race hospitality and recreation, including a mountain coaster, an indoor waterpark, and dining at Trax Pub & Grill.

Courses run on mountain and woodland trails with significant uphill and downhill sections. Several events are offered, including daytime and night versions of some distances; the night races require a headlamp. An Uphill 1k follows a steep slope called Iliad and is described as about 1 kilometer with substantial elevation gain. The Doggo 5k is a canicross-style event; dogs must be leashed, under control, and may be directed to a special parking area if reactive. Muzzles are permitted; certain harnesses and flexi leashes are not allowed. Race officials may remove any dog that poses a problem.

Registration fees include mandatory charges where applicable. The 1 Mile Kids Run allows entrants 12 and under to run free and uses a well marked course. Packet pick up and other race logistics are provided at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
