The Great Trailhead Foot Race 5 & 10 Miler takes place on October 17, 2026, at Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood, Colorado. The start and finish are at the Pelican Point picnic shelter. The course uses single-track and dirt trails near Denver's skyline. Distances offered:

  • 5 miles
  • 10 miles (double lap of the 5-mile course)

Registration and race features

Entry fees shown are $55 for the 5 Miler and $60 for the 10 Mile; prices increase after December 31, 2025. Registration includes park admission for the day, a post-run party, and one finisher's meal. Each participant receives a gender-specific t-shirt. 10 Mile finishers receive a finisher mug upon completion. Food and drink provided include hot dogs, chips, protein bars, non-alcoholic beer, bananas, and other items. Beer is available free to participants aged 21 and over with valid ID.
