Event Overview

The Grantchester Charity Runs is a volunteer-run event supporting Maggie’s Centre Cambridge and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT). It takes place on Mill Way in Grantchester, just outside Cambridge.

Course Details

Both courses run through attractive farmland adjacent to Grantchester. The routes are mixed terrain, predominantly flat, and have no road crossings. All participants receive chip timing.

Amenities and Features

A commemorative medal is given to every runner who completes the course. Trophies are awarded to the winners of both runs, and a team competition is held for the 10 km. T-shirts can be purchased, with proceeds going to the charities. On-site amenities include parking at the Grantchester Village Charity Car Park, bike parking, a bag drop, and a coffee van. Post-run treatments and advice in sports massage, physiotherapy, osteopathy, and podiatry are offered by a local clinic. Post-race refreshments and an ice cream van are also available.
