Grantchester Charity Runs

Grantchester, United Kingdom • 27 Sep 2026

Event Overview

The Grantchester Charity Runs take place on farmland adjacent to Grantchester, located just outside Cambridge. This volunteer-run event supports local healthcare charities, including Maggie’s Centre Cambridge and the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust. Both courses feature mixed terrain and are predominantly flat. A notable feature is the absence of road crossings throughout the routes.

Race Options

Participants can choose between two main distances:

  • 10 km
  • 3 km

The 10 km event includes a team competition. For younger participants, a special registration rate is available for children under 12 who are accompanied by an adult.

Facilities and Support

All participants receive chip timing, and results are available shortly after the finish. A collective warm-up is held on-site before the start. Professional clinics provide post-run support, including sports massage, physiotherapy, and osteopathy. A bag drop service is located next to the registration area.

Recognition and Amenities

Every runner who completes their course receives a commemorative medal, and trophies are awarded to winners in various categories. Registration includes access to refreshments such as coffee and ice cream. Event t-shirts are available for purchase during the registration process to support the designated charities. Parking for vehicles and bicycles is located a short walk from the start line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
