Grantchester Charity 10k and 3k

The Grantchester Charity 10k and 3k take place on 27 September 2026 on the Trumpington side of Grantchester, Mill Way, Cambridge CB3 9NB. The event is volunteer run and raises funds for Maggie’s Centre Cambridge and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.

Both courses run through farmland adjacent to Grantchester and are mixed terrain and predominantly flat. There are no road crossings on the routes. Chip timing is used for all participants and results are available soon after the runs.

Facilities and services on site include parking at the Grantchester Village Charity Car Park a short walk from the start, secure bike parking, on site registration organised by last name then first name, and a bag drop next to registration. Post run refreshments are provided and an ice cream van will be present. Photos and videos are published in the days following the event.

Additional event details: finishers receive a commemorative medal and trophies are awarded for winners and teams. A 10k team competition is included. T shirts are available for purchase at £15 plus fee with proceeds to the charities. A local clinic will offer post run sports massage, physiotherapy, osteopathy and podiatry advice. Trail runs nearby

Experience a unique trail half marathon through the LodeStar festival fields. This off road race features chip timing and water stations while raising vital funds for local charity.

A self navigation trail race of about 6.2 miles at Mountfitchet Castle on 19 Apr 2026, for runners aged 16 and over; entries include a £4 tea room voucher and results are published on the organiser’s website.

A multi-distance road event at Suffolk Running Centre on 26 April 2026 offering 5k, 10k, half and full marathon options; the marathon uses the officially measured Kirtling Route, aid stations appear every 10k and parking is included.

A guided 10 km group run at High Lodge in Thetford Forest for Forestry England members only. Runs are led at a conversational pace on mostly flat woodland trails with parking available.
