Good Hops Beer Run

Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run 2026 : Carolina Beach, NC

The Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run 2026 is the 11th annual trail run/walk that begins at Good Hops Brewing and follows single-track trails inside Carolina Beach State Park. The course is approximately 5 kilometers and runs entirely on natural trail surfaces. Proceeds from the event benefit Carolina Beach Elementary School and Friends of the State Park.

The trail includes soft sand, roots, rocks and uneven ground; participants should be prepared for trail conditions and possible heat, humidity and biting flies. There are two water stations located at about mile 1 and mile 2. Strollers are permitted at the user's risk. Leashed dogs are welcome at the brewery but are discouraged on the crowded trails.

Logistics include a Friday evening packet pick-up at Good Hops Brewery and additional packet pick-up and late registration on race morning. Runners registered by June 9 are guaranteed a t-shirt; shirts are adult unisex XS through XXL and exchanges are not available. Runners over 21 receive the official event cup and a beer; those under 21 receive an age-appropriate treat. Race day parking will be assisted by event volunteers.

Awards are presented in multiple categories, including overall male and female, masters (over 55), dad/kid combo, military, and youth 14 and under. The finish returns to the greenway near the brewery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
