Good Hops Beer Run 2026 : event description
The Good Hops Beer Run is a trail run held on June 20, 2026, that takes place on natural trails inside Carolina Beach State Park. The course is described as 5k(ish) and is also listed as 3 miles. Runners encounter soft sand, roots, rocks, and uneven ground; strollers are permitted at participants' own risk. Two water stations are provided at mile 1 and mile 2.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes May 20, 2026. The registration fee is $30. Age is determined as of the race date. Runners aged 21 and over receive the official Good Hops Beer Run cup and a beer with registration; those under 21 receive an age-appropriate treat. Runners registered by Sunday, June 7 are guaranteed a t-shirt; available sizes are adult unisex XS through XXL and organizers cannot guarantee size changes after that date.
The event includes post-race awards and brewery activities at Good Hops Brewing in Carolina Beach. Award categories include overall male and female, masters male and female (over 55), dad and kid combo, male and female military, and male and female kids age 14 and under. Proceeds benefit Carolina Beach Elementary School and Friends of the State Park. Race day parking is assisted and available in the Good Hops lot and along Harper Avenue.
