Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run 2026

The Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run is the 11th annual trail race held on June 20, 2026, starting and finishing at Good Hops Brewing in Carolina Beach. The course is entirely on natural trail inside Carolina Beach State Park and covers roughly 3 miles. Runners can expect soft sand, roots, rocks, and uneven ground. Two water stations are placed near mile 1 and mile 2. Strollers may be used at the participant's own risk.

Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes May 20, 2026. The registration fee is $30. Packet pick-up is scheduled on the Friday evening before the race and additional packet pick-up and late registration will be available on race morning. Runners who register by Friday, June 10 will be guaranteed a t-shirt; shirts are adult unisex XS through XXL and size changes cannot be accommodated after allocation.

Participants aged 21 and over receive the official Good Hops Beer Run cup and a beer with registration. Participants under 21 receive an age-appropriate treat after the race. Leashed dogs are welcome at the brewery but should not join the race on the trails. Race day parking will be assisted and parking is available in the Good Hops lot and along Harper Avenue.

Proceeds from the event benefit Carolina Beach Elementary School and Friends of the State Park. Awards are presented in multiple categories including overall, masters, military, age group, and a dad and kid combo category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
