Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run 2027
The Good Hops Beer Run is a trail run of about three miles held on June 19, 2027, that starts and finishes at Good Hops Brewing in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. The course lies entirely within Carolina Beach State Park on natural trail and includes soft sand, roots, rocks, and uneven ground. Two water stations are provided at approximately mile 1 and mile 2. Strollers may be used at participants' own risk.
Runners aged 21 and over receive the official Good Hops Beer Run cup and a beer; participants under 21 receive an age-appropriate treat. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at the brewery, with additional pickup and late registration on race morning. Registration opens December 31, 2026 and closes May 19, 2027; the listed registration fee is $30.00. T-shirt guarantees apply for runners registered by June 6; shirts are adult unisex sizes XS through XXL and size changes cannot be accommodated after distribution.
Awards are given in multiple categories including overall male and female, masters (over 55), Dad/Kid combo, military male and female, and male and female ages 14 and under. Post-race activities at the brewery include awards, food sales by local volunteers, and community-focused festivities. Proceeds benefit Carolina Beach Elementary School and Friends of the State Park.
