The Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in Carolina Beach, NC. Course, awards and logistics
The course is 100% natural trail inside Carolina Beach State Park on single-track. Participants should expect soft sand, roots, rocks, and uneven ground. The route leaves the greenway, does a loop on the single-track, and returns to the start of the trail; the start is marked on the greenway and the finish is marked before the return. Two water stations are provided near mile 1 and mile 2. Runners and walkers assemble 15 minutes before the race in the Good Hops parking lot and the group crosses Dow Road with police assistance.
Packet pick-up is available Friday evening at the brewery and additional pick-up and late registration are scheduled on race morning. Runners registered by June 9 are guaranteed a t-shirt; sizes are adult unisex XS through XXL and size exchanges are not available. Runners over 21 receive the official cup and a beer; under-21 participants receive an age-appropriate treat. Awards are planned for multiple age and category divisions, including overall, masters (over 55), dad/kid combo, military, and youth 14 and under.
