Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run 2026
The Good Hops 5k'ish Beer Run 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Carolina Beach, NC. The event is organized from Good Hops Brewing and features a 5k(ish) trail run/walk through Carolina Beach State Park. This is the 11th annual edition. Proceeds benefit Carolina Beach Elementary School and Friends of the State Park. Runners over 21 receive the event cup and a beer; participants under 21 receive an age-appropriate treat. Runners registered by June 9 are guaranteed a t-shirt in adult unisex sizes XS through XXL. Packet pick-up is available the evening before the race and there is additional packet pick-up on race morning.
Course, awards and race logistics
The course is entirely on natural single-track trail inside Carolina Beach State Park. Participants should expect soft sand, roots, rocks and uneven ground. There are two water stations located at mile 1 and mile 2. Runners and walkers assemble in the Good Hops parking lot before the race and will cross Dow Road with assistance from the local police department. Leashed dogs are welcome at the brewery but should not run on the trails. Race day parking will be assisted by the Island Men, with space in the brewery lot and along Harper Avenue. Awards are given in overall, masters (over 55), dad/kid combo, military, and youth (14 and under) categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
