Goliath's 50

Goliath's 50 is a trail running event held at Shaffer Bend Recreation Area in Marble Falls, Texas on February 20, 2027. The course uses equestrian trails named Equine, Lakeview, Turkey, and Homestead and runs on surfaces of dirt, sand and rock. Elevation is shown as about 590 ft per 10 mile loop with rolling hills. Historic average temperatures range from 45 to 63 degrees.

Aid stations are located on the main aid loop and on the 5K and 10M loops; offerings include hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice. Specific aid station points are listed for the 10 mile loop (0.0, 4.9, 10.2) and the 5K loop (0.0, 3.1). No drop bags will be shipped due to loop size. The event is a no-cup race; participants must carry a water-carrying system of at least 16 ounces except for the 5K and 10K. Headlamps are required for the 50K and 50M during nighttime running. Pacing is allowed for the last two laps of the 50M.

Additional notes: parking is limited and along the road near start and finish, finishers receive event medals, and awards include first place for each distance plus specific items for ruck and 50M finishers.
