Goliath's 50 is a trail endurance event in the hills of Central Texas held at Shaffer Bend Recreation Area. The event offers multiple race distances on looped trails with dirt, sand and rock surfaces and rolling terrain.

Ruck participants must meet weight requirements: if a participant weighs more than 150 lbs they must carry 30 lb, if less than 150 lbs they must carry 20 lb; a ruck sack or vest is allowed. A pacer is allowed for the last two laps of the 50 Miler.
Race gear and awards include a long sleeve event shirt, finisher medals for all distances, a 10 Mile Ruck patch, a 50 Miler belt buckle, and first place awards for male and female finishers.
