Goldsborough Goldrush

Goldsborough Goldrush, organized by Cairns Road Runners, takes place at the Goldsborough Valley Day Use Area in Wooroonooran National Park, Far North Queensland. The event offers four out-and-back trail distances along the rainforested Goldfields Trail: Nugget (5km), Eureka (10km), Causeway Crusade (18km), and the Goldrush Marathon. The course ranges from flat river-valley sections to shaded rainforest and technical trail, including creek crossings and a saddle climb between Bartle Frere and Bellenden Ker. Described as one of the toughest yet most beautiful trail routes in FNQ, it features optional weekend camping and a BBQ brunch/lunch afterward, with self-sufficiency and limited mobile reception.
