Trail Running in the Marin Headlands

The Golden Gate Trail Classic is a trail running event organized by Spartan Trail. The race takes place across two days in January. Participants have the opportunity to travel across the Golden Gate Bridge and enter the Marin Headlands. The courses provide views of the surrounding mountains and the sea.

A 10-mile trail race in Redwood Regional Park starting and finishing at Chabot Space & Sciences Center, featuring single-track trails, steep climbs including the Woodmonster, staggered handicap starts and a team competition.

A map-based mystery run from Ghirardelli Square through classic San Francisco neighborhoods, with team navigation, chip-tagged checkpoints, 5K and 10K options, age and gender divisions, and post-event snacks and socializing.

Join a monthly community event in Richmond featuring a conversational hike or a self paced trail run. This inclusive series held on first Saturdays brings people together for outdoor movement and connection.

Trail runs on Mt. Tam near Stinson Beach with 10K, Half, and 30K options across technical trails and major elevation changes; cupless aid stations, chip timing, and a 300-runner field.
