Glacier Ridge Ultramarathon and Trail Race
The Glacier Ridge Ultramarathon and Trail Race takes place at McDanels Boat Launch in Moraine State Park near Portersville, PA. The event offers multiple distances on out-and-back courses that use the Glacier Ridge section of the North Country Trail between Moraine State Park and the Jennings Environmental Education Center near Slippery Rock.

- 20 Mile Trail Run / Endurance Hike
- 50K Ultramarathon
- 50 Mile Ultramarathon
- 50 Mile 5 person Relay
Packet pick-up is available on the Friday before the race at McDanel’s Boat Launch pavilion #7; participants who pick up their bib on Friday do not need to check in on race day. Crews are permitted for runners in the 50K and 50 Mile individual events only. Crews may meet runners at established aid stations (Upper 528, Jennings, North Country Club Road) and may provide assistance only within 100 yards of those aid stations. Crews are responsible for their own food and drinks and must follow posted speed limits. Parking is generally available at the Jennings and North Country Club Road aid stations; parking near Upper 528 is more limited and will be along the road to the Boat Launch.
All finishers receive a finisher medallion. Trophies are awarded to first place male and female finishers in each distance, with each member of the winning 50 Mile relay team also receiving a trophy. Apparel differs by distance, including technical shirts and a 1/4 zip for 50 Mile finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
