Gibside Wild New Year Trail Runs

The event on 3 January 2027 at Gibside National Trust in Gateshead offers two new off-road distances across the estate. The course runs through more than 600 acres of gardens, woodland and countryside within an 18th century designed landscape that contains wildlife and historic architecture.

Features of the site include the Neo-classical Chapel, a restored stable block and a large ruin. Runners may pass areas where deer are commonly seen. Route maps will be confirmed before the event.

The event is Canicross friendly and allows one controlled dog per runner. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North and results are available during the event. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a snack and drink. An exclusive event T-shirt can be added to an entry for £12.00. Free parking is available on site.
