Event overview

The Gatliff Marathon is scheduled for Saturday 18 October 2025 at Edenbridge Cricket Club, Blossoms Park, Mill Hill, Edenbridge, Kent (TN8 5DA). The event offers a choice of 50 km or 25 km on footpaths and tracks across parts of Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Routes change each year; a route description and a GPX file will be provided to each entrant before the event. The objective for each course is to complete the distance within ten hours.

Organised by COPSE Club (Croydon), the event is described as a walk, jog or run. The start and finish are at Edenbridge Cricket Club. Image and event materials are provided by the organiser.

Entries and on-route services

Entries opened on 24 November 2024 and close on 16 October 2025. Entry fees are listed as £20.00 for the 50 km option and £18.00 for the 25 km option. The 50 km route has four checkpoints; the 25 km route has two checkpoints. Soup and sandwiches will be provided for lunch at one checkpoint on the 50 km route. Snacks and drinks will be available at all checkpoints. At the finish, hot food, tea or coffee and showering facilities are available; these are included in the entry fee. Take part in a woodland night score at Westerham: 60 minute navigation to collect as many 10 point controls as you can from 20 locations. Limited entries, book online in advance; apres and prize giving at The Carpenters Arms.

KNC 6 at Rusthall Common is a Kent Night Cup score event combining forest, urban and rock features in a 60 minute night challenge. Limited to 40 places and online registration only, so book early for an atmospheric evening orienteering.

Explore runnable forest at Shoreham Woods with courses for all abilities and a one hour score challenge. Online entry only; trails are shared with walkers, riders and bikers and have some steep slippery slopes.

Join Carshalton Street O for an evening of score orienteering in the Mole Valley Winter series, starting outside The Hope pub with food and post race refreshments. Pick 60 or 40 minute score courses and use MapRun to time your run.

Run as many 5 km laps as you can in three hours around Peaslake Village Hall. A friendly night event with head torches, refreshments, prizes for top men and women plus shoe demos.
