The 4th Galloping Grind 10k trail run
The event is a 10 km trail run held on 21 Aug 2026. TRA permit number is listed as TBC. Non TRA and UKA members pay a £2 levi.
A start list will be emailed to entrants before the event with race number information, maps and a narrative of the course. A limited edition event T-shirt is included in the entry fee; earlier entries make it easier to obtain the requested size.
The course is the original route and is predominantly anti-clockwise. Carrying a mobile phone with ICE details is compulsory. There will be a tail jogger sweeping the course and a finish line timer.
Parking onsite is limited; organisers suggest car-sharing and ask participants to follow marshals instructions. Cycling to the event is suggested as an alternative.
Race numbers must be worn on the front, unfolded. Manual timing may be used, so if a number cannot be seen at the finish a time may not be recorded. After having a finish time recorded, runners can hand their race number in at the horsebox to claim a finishers coffee and cake.
Results will be posted to the organiser's website within 48 hours. Course record times from 2025 are listed as 57m14s and 41m17s. Total places for the event are 30 and the event status is open. A service fee of 4% applies to each sign-up, minimum 50p. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
