Midsummer Trail - Thaxted

ESSEX TRAIL EVENTS presents a midsummer trail race in Thaxted on 24 June 2026. The route is a self-navigation trail of approximately 6 miles. Runners receive a written route description on the day; there are no course markings, marshals, or GPX files. This is not a mass start event and competitors will be timed out and back in at the finish.

Race headquarters is at the Farmhouse Inn, Monk Street, Thaxted CM6 2NR. Minimum age for entry is 17. Entry fees are listed as £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners, plus a 50p booking fee; the entry includes a £4 voucher redeemable in the pub on the night. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. Discounted prices apply for members of clubs affiliated to EA WA SA TRA until 22 June 2026 23:59. The event closing date is 22 June 2026 23:59.

Organisers will not offer refunds. Transfers are not allowed after 17 June 2026. To enable friends to run together, multiple bookings under one name are permitted but full details for each participant must be provided before the closing date, including an emergency contact and a mobile number to be carried on the day.
