Galleywood Gallop 2026

The Galleywood Gallop is a UKA permitted trail race held on 20 May 2026 at the Horse & Groom on Galleywood Common, Chelmsford CM2 8PL. The course is approximately 5 miles and is described by the organiser as straightforward.

The race is a self navigation event using a written route description issued on the day. There are no course markings, no marshals and no GPX file. The event is not a mass start; runners will be timed and must check in at the finish.

As a UKA permitted event running or walking with dogs is not allowed. The minimum age for entry is 16.

Entry fees are £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners plus a 50p booking fee. Each entry includes a £4 voucher to use in the pub on the night. The closing date for entries is 18 May 2026. Multiple entries under one name are permitted provided full contact and emergency details for each person are supplied before the closing date. There are no refunds.

A five round summer trail series at Langdon Discovery Nature Park beginning 28 Apr 2026. The first race is a 5k for ages 12 and over, with on the day entries charged at the same price as online.

A stage trail relay along the Roach Valley Way covering 23 miles in four legs for teams of four. Proceeds benefit Havens Hospices and each leg is timed and scored by marshal teams while runners navigate using maps and way markers.

A mainly off road 15k trail run at Trifarm, Boreham on 06 May 2026 featuring an anticlockwise route on public footpaths and bridleways, on-site parking, water points and manual timing.

Nuclear Rush is a muddy obstacle race at the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Essex featuring 6 km with 40 plus obstacles and 12 km with 70 plus obstacles, plus signature features such as the 20 foot Deathslide and multi lane zip wires.
