Freight Train 200

Freight Train 200 is a multi day trail ultramarathon running December 3–6, 2026, along the Northeast Texas Trail between Wolfe City and Farmersville, Texas. The event stages multiple distances on the same route so different fields share key sections of trail and local support.

• 100 Miles
• 50 Miles
• 25 Miles

Organizers present this as the first official 200-mile footrace in Texas. The course is described as flat, fast, and runnable, beginning near Wolfe City and finishing at the Farmersville Onion Shed. The 200-mile course is run to a 72-hour maximum limit with a final course cut-off on the last day.

Timing is done using manual clipboard logs at checkpoints backed up by continuous video recording at the timing arch. Pacer rules classify pacers as safety assets: 200-mile entrants may have a pacer after mile 50, 100-mile entrants after mile 25, and pacers are not permitted in the 50- or 25-mile fields.
