2025 Fox Trot 5k & 1 mile : event details
The event takes place on September 28 at Merrie Mill Farm & Vineyard in Keswick, VA (594 Merrie Mill Farm). It offers two distances:
- 5k - one lap on a cross-country course with hills, gravel and paved sections.
- 1 mile - a short cross-country option on the winery property.
A virtual run option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack series.
Logistics and facilities
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-Fit) event shirt and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for entries received before September 17; extra shirts will be ordered and distributed first-come, first-served after that date. Registration fees until September 15 are $25 for the 1-mile and $35 for the 5k; fees increase afterward to $30 and $40. Price increases by $5 on race morning.
The 5k course has two water stations at about mile 1 and mile 2.1; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located in the winery. Live race results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Parking is at the winery; the site location is also provided by GPS coordinates.
