Forest 1/2 Marathon and 7 Miler

The Forest 1/2 Marathon and 7 Miler is a trail race in Memphis, TN, held on the Wolf River Trails on December 12, 2026. The event is organized by Mamba Trail Runners and uses the same trail system as the Mamba 100.

The courses run on smooth, flowing singletrack through a winter forest. Trails are described as mostly flat, fast, and highly runnable. The Half Marathon follows the Mamba 100 route with a shortened section to create the 13.1-mile distance. The 7 Miler highlights scenic sections of the course.

Logistics note a cupless policy, so participants must carry their own water in a handheld bottle, hydration vest, or similar. Runners should follow orange ground flags and keep the flags on their right side. Two sections have two-way traffic, near the Bridge Aid Station and near the Wolf River Bridge on the Half Marathon course.

A fully stocked aid station is located around Mile 3.5 for the 7 Miler; Half Marathon runners also have a second fully stocked aid station around Mile 8.5. The Start/Finish Line Aid Station will offer hot and cold food, water, sports drink, music, and post-race refreshments. All finishers receive a custom Forest medal, and participants are asked to wear their race bib on the front for race photography.

Registration opens Friday, August 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
