Flying Acorn Trail Run - Minnedosa, MB

The event takes place at Squirrel Hills Trail Park in Minnedosa, Manitoba, on Treaty 2 Anishinaabe territory and on lands historically connected to the Red River Métis and the Rolling River Treaty 4 nation.

Trails include decades old double track and newer single track with varied elevation. Surface types include grass-surface double track and dirt single track, with uphill and downhill sections and looped routes through the park.

Distances offered

  • Half Marathon 21.1 km, two laps of the 10k route, approximate elevation gain 380 m
  • 10K about 10.6 km, approximate elevation gain 190 m
  • 5K about 5.4 km, approximate elevation gain 90 m

Two aid stations are placed on the 10k route, providing up to four opportunities to stop; 5k runners have an aid station near the halfway point. This is a cupless event so participants should bring a personal water bottle. One earbud is permitted but over the ear headphones are not allowed for safety and communication reasons.

The race is Trail Sisters Approved and includes a pregnancy and postpartum policy allowing race deferral or refund in qualifying circumstances.
