Race the North Face Brandon Hills
The event takes place in the Brandon Hills Wildlife Management Area on Treaty No. 1 land on Saturday, August 29, 2026; registration opens January 17, 2026.
Distances offered
- 50 km Ultra two loops, 1200 m gain and loss
- 25 km one loop, 600 m gain and loss
- 10 km 200 m gain and loss
- 750 m Kids Run aimed at ages 10 and under, all ages allowed
The course is largely single-track (over 90 percent) with rocky, rooty sections and sustained climbs and descents. A ridge known as The Spine provides prairie views but is on private property and requires permission before accessing. All distances start from a grass field just inside the main gates of the WMA parking lot.
Aid stations are located at roughly 13 km, 25 km and 37.5 km. The 25 km aid station permits crew access and drop bags at the participant's risk; some aid stations have cutoff times and the 50 km has a total cutoff of 10 hours. Portable toilets are available at the start/finish and at aid stations.
Included with entry are a custom finisher medal, a Headsweats running shirt, finish-line food, race photography, therapy services, top finisher trophies, and safety coverage by Brandon Area Search and Rescue. The event has donated funds to the Westman Trail Association. Mandatory gear requirements include carried hydration and planned nutrition.
