Race the North Face Brandon Hills

Brandon, Canada • 29 Aug 2026

Event overview

Race the North Face Brandon Hills takes place on August 29, 2026 at the Brandon Hills Wildlife Management Area, Treaty No. 1 land. Distances offered are:

  • 50 km two loops, approximately 1200 m elevation gain
  • 25 km single loop, approximately 600 m elevation gain
  • 10 km single loop, approximately 200 m elevation gain
  • 750 m kids run

The course is predominantly single track with rocky and rooty sections. The route includes a ridge known as The Spine, about 2.5 km long, which rises above the forest and provides wide prairie views; part of The Spine is on private property and requires permission to access.

Aid stations are located roughly halfway on the 25 km loop and at the start/finish area; 50 km runners encounter aid stations twice and may use a crew or a drop bag at the start/finish location. The 50 km event is subject to an overall cutoff of about 10 hours and intermediate cutoffs apply at aid stations.

Mandatory equipment and safety notes: all participants must carry their own hydration and plan adequate nutrition because there is no running water on site. Portable toilets are provided at the start/finish and aid stations. Safety services and first aid are provided by Brandon Area Search and Rescue.
