Flete 10K and Family Fun Run

The event is organised by Ivybridge Rotary Club to raise money for charitable causes with the permission of The Flete Estate. It comprises three separate races held on the Flete Estate, based at Holbeton Cricket Club pavilion.

The course is multi-terrain. Runners use tracks between open fields, footpaths through shaded woodlands that follow the River Erme, a short climb toward Holbeton village, and loops around the estate returning via a riverside path. The route is well marshalled and includes medical and rescue cover. The 10K race is licensed by England Athletics. Water stations on the 10K route are positioned at the 4 km and 7 km points.

Distances:

  • 10 km race for ages 15 and over.
  • 5 km race open to ages 9 and over; ages 9-11 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • 1 km fun run open to all ages; all participants must be accompanied and under-13s require adult supervision.

Facilities and services include on-site parking guided by marshals, refreshment sales, information tents from sponsors, portaloo facilities and race photography. Prize items: 10K finishers receive a T-shirt; 5K and 1K finishers receive a medal. Late entries may not be guaranteed a T-shirt or medal. Headphones and in-ear devices are prohibited except bone conduction devices. Pre-registered entries may be transferred; refunds are not offered.
